Terms of Business

You may place an order by Toll Free Telephone, U.S. Mail, or on the web @ www.gearheadengines.com. If you have questions about oversize or heavy items, or any other form of non-standard shipping, please contact us at 800-508-5999.

Most orders ship by ground carrier. In the event that you purchase an item and require air delivery, please let a sales representative know so that they can add the cost to your shipment. Due to UPS regulations, oversize & overweight packages may be subject to additional shipping surcharges. We often ship from multiple locations throughout the US to give you better and more economical service.

Payment can be made by American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, or ACH (direct debt from checking account).

Orders shipped to a California address will be charged 7.75% Sales Tax.

1. Because we are a Warehouse Distributor we carry a huge amount of inventory. Sometimes, however, an item will be in short supply. You will be notified if an order cannot ship in a timely manner. Except for Special Orders and some Drop Shipments we will not charge your credit card for orders which have not been shipped.
2. If you order an engine online that we show as not in stock, your credit card will be charged.  Please make sure to verify stock in our electronic lookup before placing any online orders!
3. If you need to backorder something that is out of stock, please call us to set it up--do NOT order online or you will be charged. 

1. All merchandise is eligible for return within 14 days of date of delivery.
2. Merchandise must be authorized for return by GearHeadengines.com and will be identified with a "RMA" "Return Merchandise Authorization" number.
3. All merchandise returned will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
4. Refunds will be credited back to customer accounts within 14 days of the completed inspection of the returned merchandise.

All shipments should be inspected at the time of delivery. Damaged packages should be refused. Please call us at (800) 508-5999 if there is a problem with a damaged item.
